Chris Skinners purple heart 10 srting
My first stick, purple heart, I believe it was made in June 1997 which is also right about when I strarted playing guitar. In June 2007 my family suffered the loss of my uncle Brian. My band at the time was opening for Peter Frampton and we got the bad news the night before that gig. He was always my major inspiration in music. When Brian died I vowed to pull myself together and do music for real.
I took his Taylor 614 and just started goin tap crazy! Then I met someone who played bass and owned a stick but had no further use for it. I traded him the 1981 Rickenbacker 4001 I got from Brian straight up for the 10 string stick. Me being the sentimental person that I am, this was a huge commitment for me. I'm happy I did it however and I know my uncle would also feel the same about this very complex and rewarding instrument.
