I'm regretfully behind the times myself. I just found out. Greg has been my occasional teacher and constant inspiration. His patience with me during my times of re-focus on Stick has been monumental. I'm just crushed. |

It's funny (interesting) to me ... the talk has shifted toward playing sitting down rather than standing. I'm dreaming of doing the opposite - but I've got a gut that interferes with my playing! I've got a flat belt hook pedestal which helps, and my weight loss motivator is simply to be able t... |

I've been wondering when we were going to hear something from you ... it felt like it couldn't be long. Gorgeous. Lovely tune, some changes to raise an eyebrow here and there (in a good way), a really evocative piece. Bravo, sir. |

I ended up ordering an EMG R-Block, which is now on my Railboard. What pushed me over the edge was an issue that popped up after trying to clean the original R-Block. After removing the pot knobs and rear covers, I sprayed electronics cleaner in several places. After reassembly, I noticed that the b... |

I would ask about his approach to applying Stick to tunes originally written and recorded on bass guitar. Is it a different approach, or does he just look at it as, more or less, a "doesn't matter which instrument, the notes are what the notes are" kind of thing? That, and what the setting... |

Yes, you have it correctly, my Railboard has two serial numbers on it. There's a trick of the light that makes the beam number look lighter, and like it was applied after the anodizing. It wasn't. That lightness you're seeing is reflected light plus a little dust, before I cleaned it out. Just FYI, ... |

Thanks for that - going to give it a shot next time I practice! MAN, whoever played bass on this tune is really laying back! Kids, if you want to hear what it sounds like to lay a bass line back as far as it can go, give this one a listen. I did a tiny bit of research on the song, and I never knew t... |
