I love Johnny Cash. And I especially love the kerchunking. Steve A would be so proud. This whole song's energy comes from a kick-ass, driving bassline. Then you just tap out the melody one note at a time. And we do love the melody and this entire album is just so awesome, actually. But then when you...

New David Brosky "DBro Holder" for playing Chapman Stick seated. Made from maple and mahogany by Jim Todd. Sprayed with spall urethane by me. It's all purty and rounded and professional looking. Looks great with all the Sticks. Thanks, Jim and DBro! http://i.imgur.com/jhGmo1ml.jpg http://i...

Scott, rocking it out! I didn't mind the guitar volume swells but the song probably would have been fine without them. The very nature of experimentation means you try things and see how they work. Sometimes the song just needs more cowbell, even though it would be fine without it. http://www.watchf...

Nice post, DBro, although I'd like to point out that when in the middle of Interlochen Stick seminar, my DBro-patented Holder broke into two pieces, and I had to rig up a flexible camera mount as a Holder replacement, I could then blame every mistake I made on my broken holder and my rigged-up, MacG...

Bruce, you're my hero! You look and sound awesome, and what a great experience for you! I do so enjoy living vicariously through your Singapore exploits lately on Stickist and Facebook. Such amazing places you get to on your little boat. ;) And yes, both Ambassador, and Missionary, Bruce, of Stickla...

Hey all, I am a drummer, and attempting to be a Stickiest as well! I've been playing drums with my current band for about 1 1/2 years now. They know I play the Chapman Stick, but I never did it with them. We did a private outdoor small party this past Saturday, and we played 'The Weight'. Well, the...

Not so crashy or burny. This arrangement works pretty well. And was a good exercise to try and also provoke some conversation about doing Metallica and the like on the Stick. I'm thinking that something like Fade to Black might be a better Stick fit. That sound like a good idea. Fade to Black would ...
