Most important to me as a musician: Wendy Carlos - Switched on Bach - planted the seed that grew into my music technology career. It was all electronic, but very organic and "human" at the same time. She has a wonderful mastery of timbre. Jethro Tull - Bursting Out - during this live album... |

The Kindle version was free so I downloaded it - it's all text (no exercises or music etc) and reads like something AI generated, like ChatGPT. Even more strange to me - the picture on the cover is a low-res screenshot from one of my YouTube videos!
So no - not legit. |

In recent years I've experimented with a Fishman Loudbox Performer, Schertler JAM and Hugh & Kettner Era 2. Overall I like the Schertler the best since its bass response goes down to 40Hz, noticeably fuller bass sound compared to the Fishman and H&K. But I think I slightly prefer the warmer ... |

The most immediate idea that occurs to me is to use your 10 string tuning/gauges but drop the highest pitch string on each side (1 and 6). You'd lose the lowest tappable notes from the 10 string since the NS/Stick doesn't have the extra X fret of the 36" scale 10 string (thus becoming the open... |

When I briefly tried parallel 4ths the left hand fingers tended to be more scrunched up and limited in movement when playing chord oriented accompaniment. Just to be clear Rob, was that crossed or uncrossed parallel, i.e. bass on the "normal" side (crossed) or bass on the side where the m... |

Interesting, so basically for mirrored 4ths I just need to restring the bass side so that the lowest string is in the middle - correct? Do you still play an NS? I no longer play the NS, it got traded for a Grand when I decided to focus more on solo music - I think the two region instruments make it... |
