Well done!!! That's the spirit. .... I really wish you had a proper stick. Sticks are just set up for razor thin action and playability. I'm in Connecticut if you want to try one out, let me know..... day trip???

It's a really tough one. He will never compose another tune or play a new solo. I'll never hear him play live again. It happens to us all, but the improvisers are tough to lose.

You want "c" real book. Do you want to play the bass role or left hand chords right hand soloing? There are several approaches you can take. Steve Adelson is a great resource for this stuff and he does skype lessons. Where are you from? And what kind of jazz are you into?

These gigs that Steve plays are soooo important. Steve is THE guys playing the stick in the New York jazz clubs. I cannot overstate my joy, respect and pride I feel to have a stickist on this level gig.
