This will be the first version of the list that is close to something I could actually afford. I know most of you are probably tired of me posting in this thread, but someone may benefit from reading the evolution of my thoughts. Stick Enterprises ⋅ 12 String Grand with PASV-4 ⋅ ...

Wow, what a research project! Digging into the specs and details while considering a purchase is great fun for some of us, whether it's a Stick amp and fx setup, a car, house, or anything else costing >$50. I'm very much the poster child of this, and often find that it takes me off the deep end as ...

That 12U rack weighs 70 pounds empty, including the wheels. I just realized that I could probably save a lot of trouble by using multiple smaller racks, since the 8U version is only 34 pounds empty. I will call Carvin tomorrow to inquire about the weights of the 6U and 4U members of the same series....

I now have the data required to EQ the bass side according to ISO 226:2003 at a decent small gig volume, plus variations for practice volume (the melody side's range does not require this). Either of those might prove good enough for larger settings than I expect, thanks to dispersion and such. If a...

Thanks again, Greg. I am now researching the possibility of running an EQ in each amp's loop with the best approximation of the ISO 226:2003 equal loudness contour. Given the amount of clean boost I'd need for certain frequencies, this might turn into a quite fun signal processing project. Perhaps I...

Thanks to everyone who has posted something in this thread; this research has been a great deal of fun. I have contacted Alex at Barefaced Bass for his recommendation with regard to the Stick's range, and one of Greenboy's authorized builders has put me in touch with the inventor himself. Here is th...

I think if you run both sides of the Stick through an open-back combo you run the risk of actually damaging the amp with the ultra low frequencies of the bass side. I was specifically referring to Greg running his melody side through a Fender Deluxe Reverb, which is an open back combo. Sorry, I lef...

Greg, would you mind answering these questions? I have a feeling they kind of got lost in the page turnover. Have you experienced any difficulties playing through an open back combo? I have found that open backs tend to be a little too room sensitive, hence my plan to use a closed back combo. Come t...

Yeah, I commented on YouTube the day Pigtronix released their first promo that the Infinity Looper seemed to be made for Stick. Honestly, I held a guitar vertically and started to imagine what could be done. ...I think it is fair to say at this point that I have a crush on the Stick. EDIT: Th...
