When I play my half-fretless Stick with Stainless Steel fretboard outside in the summer, the hot sun reflects off the metal board and the resulting beam usually decapitates at least a half dozen in the audience.
Fortunately I have a disclaimer in the program.

July 16-Great South Bay Music Festival (Patchogue, Long Island)....I play with the great David Langlois on pots/pans/washboard at 1:50PM, Saturday. David just taped an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. We're gonna' swing our butts off. The only Stick and washboard combo in the universe
