My sound ideal for the Stick is "lo-fi" and I chose to use a laptop to achieve that. I have analog guitar amps around here in my studio, but find that the digital makes it easier to find my preferred "balancing spot" between tonality and harmonic overtone distortion drive. I just... |

I think Bob Amstadt's upcoming Loperlative-2 looks very promising! http://en.audiofanzine.com/guitar-delay-echo-phrase-sampler/looperlative/lp2/news/a.play,n.5436.html http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=680349 What I like is the option of using quantized slicing to replace parts of a ... |

I recommend going with lights so the strings don't sound clunky as you get up to higher pitches. Is it a general rule that harder strings sound more clunky? I play a Grand 12 MR light guage and I like a smoothly singing sound rather than a clunky - but I'm wondering if 12-string MR medium guage wou... |

Congratulations! The Stick is a wonderful instrument. Myself I received my first Stick in February with a PASV-4. Both the ACTV-2 and PASV-4 are labelled "Block™" but my experience with the PASV-4 is that it has a wider range of electric-guitar-like sounds (comparing to recordings by other... |

Thanks, Kenobi! I have not heard Yuzo Koshiro but will now check out The Revenge of Shinobi. Speaking gaming music I really love the work of Akira Yamaoka, also for his film music for Silent Hill. Otherwise I think Vangelis still is the king of this kind of melodic music (where the melodie's accents... |

Ok. Well, I play through a Macbook laptop running Apple's Mainstage. Stick melody side and bass side are plugged into two separate inputs on an RME Fireface400. Melody side effects: - Noise Gate (Mainstage/Logic) - Ring Modulator (Mainstage/Logic, "Roswell Ringer" part of the Pedalboard pl... |

drunken Batmen. LOL! I was very anxious for my instruments when becoming a parent. But as I got to know my first born son it turned out that he did not at all destroy stuff around him. This really surprised me, since friends had warned me about "them small bulldozers let loose inside your home... |
