Sorry, I'm still confused. If your melody strings were going into the mixer and/or amp before, and sound better now purely because thyey're going into a new mixer (and ultimately through the same amp/speakers as before), isn't the mixer the magic in this case? What am I missing? Probably just some ...

No it wasn't the little mixer causing the tone issue really, it was more the nature of running the melody side of the Stick through a bass combo amp. Railboard arrived intact, and it is breath taking! Rob, you are right, no inlays is daunting. I'll be marking them with violin tape. The other thing is that with all black you can't see the frets as obviously as on a traditional Stick. It has medium strings, and I've recently gotten accustomed to h...

I'm surprised however that few people he added to this thread. I was hoping a lot of people would post photos. Well ... hopefully the thread isn't already dying. I think people saw the link to the gallery and didn't think they could add any more. But I'll add this link to a photo gallery of my Rail...

I just picked up a Boss ME80 multi-effects peddle for the melody side of my Stick tonight and all I can say is WOW!!! Not only does it have about every effect you could ever need for the melody side of the Stick, you can also use it in manual mode like separate effects peddles. If you're looking for...
