How did I know this would become a viral thing, inevitably making its way to this forum? I don't think it warrants much anger, fanfare or smearage. Here is my opinion, an excerpt from my post at Tappistry: Hello again, Ernie! In theory, I agree with you. And, of course, RJ is indeed a shining exampl... |

Starless and Larks.
Ooooh, but Discipline is the first one I heard (I was like 12 or something and scratching the hell out of my older brother's prog records). That one's really special too.

My band played a show with Don Caballero last year, and I was surprised how badly those guys have gone downhill... I loved their second album, but a steady downhill spiral after that. My opinion. Battles, featuring the dude from the second Don Cab album, tries (struggles?) to catch the vibe of that ... |

No, thanks. I've got the Phalanx, and it smokes. I'd like an NS or a ten string grand, but that's a serious WISH LIST at the moment... If something came up on ebay or something I'd be game, but... no megatar.
Hope you're well, Ernie!

Ernie,
Sell me the flawed stick and I'll fix it myself. Then sell the meggy and pay the mortgage on that sweet new house.
That's a better idea, yes?

See "laugh" thread below... My idea is that you shouldn't even consider buying this instrument. The Hylers look interesting, namely the headless one with many strings. However, it might be best to wait until Hyler refines his instruments a bit before committing to a build. But maybe they'r... |

Sorry to drag this mess over here, but this may be my last post over on Tappistry for a while... I'm guessing that now joy reigns supreme and that all tappers in the universe are again happy campers. Right? First, I am not a tapper, I am a musician that often taps notes instead of plucking them. Se... |

To be fair, we all buy petroleum products and cheap plastic goods from people with far worse intentions than Traktor Topaz every day of our lives. It comes down to the question of the BETTER VALUE. Is the megatar a better instrument than the stick? I doubt I could find even one guy on this forum who... |

Sad, indeed. There isn't any way around this. Ultimately, the market will decide for itself which instrument has more inherent value. I've never played a megatar, but I think the stick has proven its durability (both literally and figuratively) long ago. This certainly helps one to decide between ma... |
