From my perspective, Jeff Pearce and Larry Tuttle are the only two Stick players I've heard get airplay on the radio, specifically SPA on Sirius XM. They play a lot of Jeff's music, and every once in a while something off his previous Stick album. Curious if any of these will make the radio too. |

Long story stretched out over many years. My first memory of the Stick was watching an interview with Christopher Cross on TV after his success with the soundtrack to "Arthur". I recall seeing an instrument with strings and no body which struck my curiosity around 1981 when that movie was ... |

This vid gave me one of those "Ah-ha" moments. When letting a guitar player try my Stick for the first time (as our common friend Rob just did two weeks ago in front of a live audience :) ) I had always assumed their difficulty had to do with using the right hand in an unfamiliar role on a... |

BTW, I used wood screws for my ACTV2/PASV/4 switch. I don't have a drill-press so I was reluctant to do exacting drilling on my bamboo (soft "wood") for the machine screws that Emmett used. So I did your standard wood screw pilot holes, and tighten them "just-so". I don't switch... |

I would check with Jeff Mack, there may be more to it than is apparent. I am looking at two 12 strings that I have, one with a Stickup and one with PASV4, and there are other differences besides the screws. The angle of the two pickups is slightly different, and the Stickup is thinner. I don't know... |

Not losing any sleep on this but since I have one of these a year younger than the one on Reverb I feel obliged to respond, but has taken me a few days of thought. About six years ago I sold a 27 year old Zon bass on Reverb. Beforehand I had that bass and a PRS Custom24 professionally appraised and ... |

If the odd exposed core string is the lowest bass string, that’s likely normal for that set. I’ve had four string bass sets like that way back. |
