BTW, I used wood screws for my ACTV2/PASV/4 switch. I don't have a drill-press so I was reluctant to do exacting drilling on my bamboo (soft "wood") for the machine screws that Emmett used. So I did your standard wood screw pilot holes, and tighten them "just-so". I don't switch-... |

Really like this Kevin (watched when I opened fb). Not that it will make me a better player (I may get some back relief this week w/ shots so I can play longer) but, since I got an ACTV2 because of you, what are you using for modeling? Specifics? |

Hey all! My name is Tim - I just bought a beautiful used Paduak 10-string Stick (#5010). A few years ago, I had a nickel plasma-coated Railroad that I played for about a year and a half, then decided to part ways with and focus entirely on guitar. But I’ve been feeling the itch to get back to tappi... |

I have shopped around and here are some prices for doing an Ironwood. I had a luthier look at it, and for stainless steel frets, $700, job would be done in 6 months (he's very busy). The guy that de-fretted the Ironwood (I wanted it fretless-stupid) gave me a price, nickel jumbo bass frets (what Emm... |

UPDATE : The guitar has finally been returned to me. The good news is that they put on a new neck. Not just a replacement fretboard. Stefan also included a gig bag and extra strings at no cost. Which was very nice of him. My only complaint is that the setup (action) was horrific. It looks like it w... |

I always wished they could have had the Railboard 8 have the same Bridge and Nut set up, instead of having that massive gap running down the center While we are on this subject ... yes, i think the Railboards have a fairly important omission: An 8 string with equal string spacing, intended for tuni... |

I'm the bass player whose right hand adds some chords and an occasional solo in a trio that plays original tunes and standards in fusion style. The other two are a guitarist that leans toward Holdsworth and a drummer who provides the "Rock" in Jazzrock. Tunes we play include Wayne Shorter... |
