A big thanks to Brett for his energy, his efforts and his hospitality for hatching the idea and seeing it through. It takes a lot of time and physical and mental energy to make a seminar succesful. Congrats to Brett for doing this professionally yet user friendly. And a shout out to the students for... |

Two thumbs up. No way to thumb wrestle if these digits are on the fretboard. I'll be preaching the Django technique. It's not how many finges you use, it's the musicality from within. To borrow a book title- "The Inner Game of Stick Playing" SA |

NE Stick Seminar is in a couple of days. If you're in the area but not at the seminar, a reminder that there's a unique Stick performance this Saturday night at "The Space" in Hamden CT. A rare opportunity to catch (at least) four Stick players presenting their own interpretive music. I'm ... |

I agree with Greg, this is not a fretless. Having played a fretless Stick, albeit on the bass side, the initial sound produced on a fretlass tap and the waiver of the note is very obvious. The Stick's interval layout is ingeniously logical. If you understand music theory, chemistry, and language, the applications will be simple. Some math use in fret marker application and such will open secret paths. Once you understand how easy the notes are presented, it's only a matter of practici... |
