Thanks Alain, I've been on my own path with this thing for a while, so it's immensely gratifying when someone else appreciates it.
And thanks again to everyone for the great feedback.

Collaboration is high on my list this year, and would like to work with a conga player. It would definitely open some new doors for me too. In terms my daily playing routine, it would also be a challenge. I enjoy being my own boss, and I'm generally fixated on making a living. But it's definitely so... |

Hi guys, What can I say - thanks everyone. Glad you're liking the music. Was going to post an "announcement" about this, but to be honest the last 3 months are a blur. Thankfully, you guys beat me to it. Post-Christmas has been kind of crazy too. I had a colonoscopy yesterday and am flying... |

To all new and old friends - thanks. I haven't been around on Stickist much in the last year or two. As Bruce points out, it's a bit of hard slog sometimes. That's the reality of a full-time music career. I am however working on some new-new stuff, so there will be a CD/album release in the near fut... |

Hi all, If anyone is interested; in 2012 I was asked to write some music for a health-related DVD. The brief was to set relaxing/meditative moods without sounding like a production line new age album. I had about 3 weeks to write and record it; so every track was done pretty much in one go. I'd star... |

I tried a Railboard and was impressed by the sound and engineering. To be completely honest, it didn't feel very nice to hold and play. I'm sure I'd get used to it, but wood all the way for me. And yes, I'm still a Stickup tragic!

The Railboard is actually the quietest of the Stick pickups, because the bar is fairly thin from top to bottom. but it also has low self-noise. So when you crank it up into an appropriate input it should sound great... I stand corrected. When I got together with Dave Cobb in Adelaide, we plugged hi... |

Hi all, I'll ask this here since I know some in this topic have a Behringer Europort MPA40BT, as I do. ... I need to turn the channel gain to about 80% max and the volume to the same 80% max. If I do that in a quiet room you can hear a lot of extra noise too. Dave Hi Dave, I'd suggest that you have... |
