Back in my guitar-playing days I played in big bands. In the beginning I would set up my amp so I could hear it and so it sounded good. I started getting complaints that it didn't sound "right". So, one day I got a friend to come to a gig and sit in my chair and play my guitar though my am... |

Someone's got to jump on this. If I didn't just buy an NS Stick I'd be all over this myself at the low buy it now price of $1700!!! Don't risk a price war ... this is an outstanding buy it now price. And now you know, to reference an earlier thread, where bix99 gets all those sticks he sells on eba... |

Anything that helps people get more enjoyment out of their Sticks is okay with me. (So how come nobody's sent me one for an evaluation..... ;) ) Happy Tapping, Greg You're on, I'll start making one for you! We certainly don't want to anger you and we weren't sure what you thought about this DIY pre... |

I sent a PM to Kris and we will start working on some cool possibilities and let the forum know what we come up with. Here's a list of what I would like and what I intend to do once my semester is over. External power plug An active mono out Gain controls That's just the beginning. I intend to docum... |

Hey, Matt. Are you using this with an AI Coda? I would be very happy if it made a difference with that amp. My next project after I get my preamp fully realized is to make my own amp. I used to do that for a living for musicians and now get to have fun doing it for myself. -Eric I recently scored a ... |

I think this is a good idea. However, you should probably make sure that the licensing issue is clear. Here is the link to the original circuit design: http://till.com/articles/GuitarPreamp/index.html The circuit is quite famous among the DIY crowd and is referred to as the "Tillman Preamp"... |

It's great that someone is making these for us. This is the same circuit as my DIY Stick preamp and the one that Curtis made. I have been asked by many if I would make them for others and I just don't have the time. But, if you are handy with a soldering iron then go here and do it yourself! Or just... |

I had to do this too. I went to a fabric/craft store and bought some 4 and 1 inch thick foam. I cut it on my band saw and it worked great.

Welcome back Eric...wish you lived around the corner ;-) Thanks, David! I wish that too. Well, actually I wish we all lived somewhere warm! I came home to winter and more snow. Why don't we pick some nice warm spot on the planet and then everyone on the forum will move there. Ah, the Friday night j... |

If I take that approach, it seems no better than memorising 10,000 chord shapes...which, to me, is NOT the way forward. I used to know all those 10,000 shapes on guitar. I was a comping specialist in big bands and combos. After a while you don't even have to think of a shape. My eyes would see a ch... |
