It likely it will be tuned in some version of inverted 5ths on the bass strings and 4ths on the melody, as mentioned the tuning page on stick.com will list some options and what pitch range each allows, if that makes it easier to determine what yours might already be tuned in (if you didn’t purchase...

While some effects pedals will have a proper impedance (like 1 MOhm) to handle an instrument level signal, the pre-amp is generally the first step, setting up the basic tone and signal level for the rest of the signal chain.

This is something I need to experiment with more. I’ve used impulse responses of a classical guitar body subtly mixed in with the regular signal to add a slight sense of resonance to the tone. I’ve found it takes some effort to successfully use guitar amp impulse responses for clean tones, as I feel...

Basically Deep Matched Reciprocal Melody with Mirrored 4th Bass: I've considered this tuning before (the melody just a whole step below what I use), there's a neat symmetry in each direction. Ultimately I decided there wasn't much advantage to having fourths going in each direction - it's not hard ...

Hi everyone. Here's one of the renaissance/baroque pieces I've been working on lately. It's a piece from a book I recently picked up called Easy Renaissance Pieces for Classical Guitar (Jerry Willard). The mirrored 4ths 5+7 tuning really helps out, and allows the piece to be played exactly as writte...
