Thanks for posting Steve! Yeah ... I am really psyched about being involved in this video. The Iceman is a huge race and it gave me a chance to come full circle and be involved with a project with an old friend. The filmmaker is supposed to be sending out copies to the contributing artists this week...

Killer! Love the bass in this one and I've always loved the way Jan plays. Easily one of the coolest looping drummers I've ever heard. Do you remember the whole band crashing at my place in 02? Jan insisted on taking the futon in the "gear" room. http://www.detroitstick.com/writings/blog/a...

Oz's Music in Ann Arbor, MI has a 10-string Polycarb (not graphite, these are much older) that is supposed to be in excellent condition that they are selling on consignment. Those polycarbs were a bit on the heavy side but they sounded really nice. Greg Howard recorded "Stick Figures" on o...

If you are willing to do without for another week and a half to two weeks, I would consider sending it to Stick Enterprises and letting Emmett go to work on it. He can do all the adjustments, redress the frets and clean it all up. It might cost a little (I'd make a guess but without seeing the instr...

I have an interesting event coming up after the holidays. Over the last year or so, I made contact with two music teachers I had as a child. They are both still living in my home town. One is retired and the other is still working teaching instrumental music at my old elementary school. We started t...

I generally only purchase music online when I cannot physically obtain it easily. I'll admit to buying more and more online lately. But I backup often just because I don't want to be one of those people whose collection only goes back as far as their last hard drive crash. But honestly, when I talk...

This is cool news. It's funny, I was just discussing CDs with the guitarist in our band a couple of weeks ago. I was just getting to the point where I thought I might go digital only. Playing the loopy more rock oriented stuff at clubs and for a younger audience tends to generate very little interes...
