I recommend going to any length to stay out of the Australian summer sun on hot days. I'm talking coins that are too hot to touch for several minutes after being moved into the shade. Melted CD jewel cases. Very hard to control your tuning, and it can't be good for any instrument. In Adelaide, most ... |

As I mentioned on Randy's very interesting gear thread, I heard someone else using one of these while busking yesterday. Really, really impressed with the volume and clarity it was putting out (the guy was too loud, actually). In a street context, it was comparable to far more expensive amps, includ... |

Hi Randy, I've also been following your posts with interest. A few thoughts: After several weeks and a second gig test, I have as yet not heard any distortion from the Behringer MPA. I could only get it to distort slightly by running a cranked signal from my audio interface... What happens when you ... |

My impression is that the amp is designed to accept a wide variety of instrument sources plugged straight in. I've had no issues with 1/4" cable. The channel inputs are fairly sensitive, so maybe try turning them down and increasing the master volume like you said? |

Looks good. I think these speakers are ideally placed off the ground; I wish they would have gone for a more popular "wedge" shape, or some kind of tilt option. That's probably my main gripe, along with the lack of line outs. |

I've got a few pedals around, most of them have stereo outputs. I tend to use Zooms for busking, because they run on AAs and function really well as general purpose utility pedals for EQ, tuning, very usable reverbs/delays etc. I used a 1-signal path for about 2 years, but in general I find that the... |

I actually meant taking the two mono signals from the Stick and running them both in stereo. I keep the bass and melody sides separate all the way - bass signal split to L/R, and the same with melody. This gives you more control over individual processing, and you're getting a true stereo effect if ... |

Hey Tim, it was great talking to you and seeing your white Polycarb! Re. the stereo thing. My intention with the stereo setup is to run dual signals from the bass side (via a stereo pedal) to both L and R speakers, and the same with the treble signal i.e. NOT bass to one speaker, and treble to the o... |

BTW you might already be doing this - are you running a full stereo setup i.e. both sides into both amps, as opposed to bass L /melody R? |

Agree on all counts Randy, just trying this in stereo with my other (8 times more expensive) amp, I'm very happy with the spread. Considering the quality of portable battery powered TC or Zoom effects available, the potential for a great sounding, self contained busking/small gig setup is available ... |
