Stephen Sink noticed with his new RB that it could get very cold, but as folk have said, it warms up very quickly. My Railboard was delivered to me on Christmas Eve (1673 days ago), after sitting in the mailtruck for a weekend, at something like 15 degrees F here in Michigan. When I pulled it out o...

OMG, it's a corona virus and this time it's really there, a living thing of immense and variable beauty with its characteristic spikes, tentacles and flairs. It's in the room with SS, who obliviously plays on, no doubt immune by now. I'd be curious to see the antibody come to life, a multi-billion ...

I'd hate to channel Greg Howard By the way, when I say "I'd hate to channel Greg Howard," it's because he can explain it better than me, and I don't want to put (the wrong) words in his mouth--not that I'd mind channeling his immortal soul through my black magic seance or however one does...

[...]"Sor's concept of technique involved using the stronger fingers whenever possible, even when that entailed excessive shifting, whereas most contemporary players stress the importance of developing all of the fingers to their utmost capability and reducing the frequency of shifting." ...

I met Jim at Interlochen a couple of years ago. I instantly thought he was one of the coolest guys I'd ever met. Excellent taste in scifi drama, as I recall, and a mighty fine Stickist. Imma listen to this for sure and thanks for the interview!

Cloud Bending - "Kentucky Fried Stickin'" - Fractals & Railboard I summon down the clouds and the fractal lightning, as I play an original Chapman Stick Railboard tune called "Kentucky Fried Stickin." Video made with Mandelbulber, and After Effects. https://youtu.be/1tiGTgQ8d...

Welcome, Crunchy, and it's good to see you back at it again after your first Stick. I wasn't going to bring it up so soon, but I have a degree in music and have been a musician for over 30 years with about a decade of teaching experience, so with all respect to the masters, I'd like an opportunity t...

Ah, the Islay of keyboard whisky! A peaty, smoky blast of character compared to the more soft, vanilla tones of the piano Dalwhinnie. [...] That's a fantastic Scarlatti performance Steve, thanks for sharing! I've been quite obsessed with Scarlatti recently, having spent the last 2 months focused on...
