Plus from Us! Ugh! Thanks! It's been years for me, too. I just remember listening to a lot of stick music back then and Greg mentioning "Cloud About Mercury" made me think of it. I don't listen to much tapping music, ironically. I'm gonna have to check this stuff out. Can anyone recommend ...

Yes, the clarity is awesome. There is some significant crosstalk in mine, despite the wide gap between regions on the Phalanx. This is due to the instrument's mass. I generally use a gate on the melody side to circumvent this problem, unless I need feedback (the Phalanx is really good for that as we...

Hey Greg,

Word up on the "Cloud About Mercury" thing. Used to love that CD. This is a good thread. I also loved Levin's contribution to Peter Gabriel's compilation of world music. Can't remember the name. It was him on just one song. Can anyone help me out?

What do you use then? I use a regular guitar strap. Mine is a bit wider than most, and I'm a strappin' lad so the 14+ lbs. weight is OK for a while. I move a lot, so I take breaks every now and again. It helps that my band's instrumentation also consists of bass... I like the maple neck as well. My...

Yes, the Warr tone is monstrous. Bartolinis either sound great on an instrument or they sound really bland. I suspect the instrument really has to be tailored for their inclusion, but I don't know anything about those technical aspects. I do miss the wiry sound of the low end on the stick every now ...

OK. I just watched several videos of Bob Culbertson playing one. I don't really know why Emmett decided not to make this instrument a part of his line. It is totally unique in the tapping realm, has a superior sound, and looks cool. I'm assuming (again) that it is cost of production that is the road...

I would very much like to see you play one with a bow (or were you just being skeptical, Kev)

I confess my skepticism, but would totally love to see you play one with a bow, and I'm totally humbled by the Stickdudes. ;)
