Emmett’s thoughts on hunched shoulders, still one of my downfalls as I see and feel this in my own playing. Work in progress.

Never be shy of the truss rod. Adjust it often, never let temperature and humidity dictate.

Hey Reystick.
I think it has more to do with what happens when you take your fingers off the strings......there would be a lot of noise with those strings left to vibrate.
