Thanks Marty! Yeah I'm using the Guitar Grimoire for scale stuff, great resource. Scott, no doubt everyone learns differently. For me, this stuff feels like a book full of chemical reactions I'm interpreting. The data is pretty dry but I know I'll be able to use the component "chemicals" ...

Interesting! And thanks! You mention mining old guitar books & converting to Stick. Being a bassist, I have a book "The Bass Grimoire", all the scale stuff is in fourths tuning over four strings so it's immediately adaptable to the "infinite grid" of the Stick!

It looks hopeful but it's gonna hafta be perfectly straight UNDER FULL STRING TENSION so you might want to think about installing a truss rod BEFORE doing the fret job. Take a look at some close-ups of the Stick truss: it is solidly anchored at one end and can pull OR push at the other - VERY import...

I've just read about the Railboard p.u. @ Stick Ents. My naive question. Unless you're going direct into a board or DAW for recording, why would you bother w/ phantom power? Just plug it in regular to your effects units and into your amps and wail away? Those Villex p.u.s are hotter than active anyw...
