Post Re: The Great Stickist.com Online Collaboration of 2017
I received two more submissions today, they sound great!

I just wanted to say that it doesn't JUST have to be Stick, or tapping. Anything. If you have some nifty ideas on another instrument, that's cool! Record it down and send it to me and it will get fit into this. So far, it's sounding extremely cool, so the more the merrier...

Last year was cool, we had vocals, Linnstrument, All kinds of Chapman Stick, a Touchstyle guitar, some guitar and drums. Lots of fun.

Almost December, but we still have lots of time! Hook me up with a riff guys! This collaboration thing is a reality, it's happening and I'd love to have y'all be a part of it. Make up a thing using C Melodic Minor as your "pool of notes", and email your separate, dry tracks. Tempo is 140 BPM.

It can be simple, complex, heavy rock, jazz fusion, baroque, funky, whatever you want as far as the feel goes... The cool thing about this is that it's a melting pot of everyone's styles, each submission's section makes compliments every other submission in the piece.

It's for fun, make up a quick riff and send it to me, even if you think it's not "up to par", send it anyways. Heck, I suck and I'm going to play a bit...

Hey guys, I'm really looking forward to hearing what y'all do... We still have lots of room, so don't be shy. It will be fun to hear the results this year of what everyone comes up with!

It's about jamming, having some fun and leaving a little sonic 'bit' for folks out there to hear what is possible with the instrument and the playing method. Really cool. Send me an email, dudes!

Me, too! I started working on my Stickist collab and it morphed into "Snow Day in Hell," which fits the parameters of the collab, in that it is in C melodic minor and at 140 BPM, and was NS/Stick, but it's being turned into a song, so I'd like to make something else.

This pre-Christmas weekend I plan to lay down some tracks, and I have no idea whatsoever what it will be, other than hopefully somewhat awesome! I plan to use the Railboard as well. If nothing else, I have Snow Day in Hell to steal from if nothing comes to mind (but something always does).

Goal is to have tracks in yours hands before Monday! Thank you sir, for wrangling all this. We who are about to rock salute you!
