a musical treat
Tonight I was invited by the great Edmar Castaneda to sit in on a tune at his show. Fitting in my Stick styling to his music was a real challenge especially spontaneously. He will perform at our Long Beach Jazz Festival Septembet 15 and we will do it again. A real eye/ear opener. Check out his music. Time to practice and discover my South American inner self on Stick.

Re: a musical treat
South american music means (very often) to know very well what they call "el tumbao". A lot of work for the bass but so much fun to play and hear. The Salsa is the music where you can hear this way to play the bass the most. But you're a master of this left hand and you should normally get it. In fact this way to play the bass is to play it in advance on the next coming chord. But it's more than that. This video (thanks stickyfingers ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnwofuZ ... e=youtu.be)) shows an example of what it is...not at the beginning...a little bit further.
