Hi Everyone,

I'm pleased to announce the first ever Virginia Stick Camp, taking place at Camp Albemarle, just outside Charlottesville, Virginia. This will be very different from seminars I've organized in the past. Yes there will be some classes, but it's more of an opportunity to get together with your fellow Stickists and jam and share ideas.

We'll have two evenings in town to perform for each other and dine at local venues, but the rest we'll be at the camp. Emmett will join us on Friday afternoon for a group skype chat and several of my long-time Stick friends will be offering classes, including Brett Bottomley and Claire Steger (others will be announced soon).

Because we're at a camp, the cost is a lot less than other events, and includes most meals. Just bring a sleeping bag. There will be plenty of extension cords, but if you have a battery powered amp, that would be great to have along.

I so wished I could be there! You have no idea how much I miss just waching people play live... It's such a huge learning opportunity! Plus the opportunity to really meet and talk to some of the people...

It's just the cost of the plain ticket... I used to Have some nice gigs in the states but nothing's coming up.... And yeah, I'm saving some money to pay for a trip across the Atlantic myself but, in truth, my plan so far is to have enough to order a 12 string, travel to LA, show up on SE's door with the excuse of getting it in person and shake Emmet's hand. You know...

Good Plan Rodrigo, had a similar idea for the Grand but not to be last time. We look forward to the photos!
Charlottesville would be awesome and I'll be on leave, but cant get across this time. Hopefully in 2017 I'll get over there to one of these seminars.

So far I've heard from people in Mass, Pa, Md, BC, Mich, Conn, NC,and NY. If you are planning on flying in, IAD (Dulles) is a couple hours away, but I might be able to arrange rides from there with other folks who are driving down from the north.

Charlottesville's airport is only about 15 minutes from the camp, if that.
