Looks like I'll be joining you after all.

Boy oh boy, my first workshop :D
Been looking at flights out of the NYC area. No shortage there.
Tomorrow my wife and I will poke around on line for accommodations. Anyone know of any? Have recommendations, perhaps?

For you repeat workshoppers who have flown there, Were there any issues about checking your sticks and / or amps? I have a hard case for my stick but nothing for my Fishman Loudbox Artist amp.

I haven't signed up yet but it is imminent. Looking forward to meeting you all

Double check Interlochen for rooms, looks like some are available. They have other events there often so some people may cancel between now and the workshop. There's many hotels in TC. I go to to that area frequently, if you don't want TC there's also nice hotels in Beaulah. If you are bringinging a significant other that's not attending they would probably be happier in downtown TC. There are hotels by nice beaches but those will be a farther drive from Interlochen. I've not stayed in Onekama (no dog policies), but there's some hidden gems there near the water in a nice community with an awesome beach. There's several casinos in the area as well, not my thing so I can't comment on those. However events in those places can have an adverse affect on lodging in the area.

I've not heard of any hotels to avoid in TC, every one that I've stayed in has been fine.

I plan to bring my Fishman Loudbox Mini and probably all 3 Sticks that I own now. I'm assuming NS/Stick is welcome, and I'm thinking I might want to bring two 10-strings, one tuned in mirrored fourths and then one tuned in "regular" MR for workshops.

Question: should I bring the NS/Stick?

*****************
What a phenomenally awesome program of instruction! What amazing teachers: Glenn Poorman and Steve Oz, and then Greg Howard and Bob (son of Culbert), and performances by Greg and Bob and other students and teachers...wow! Excellent work putting this together, Glenn. I can't wait!

The countdown is on my app on my smartphone: 98 days and counting to Interlochen Stick Camp!

Adds: and how do I possibly choose between one awesome workshop by Greg and another awesome workshop by Bob? And I'm a beginner on some days and an intermediate idiot on other days. I'd love to clone myself and go to all of them!

The only seminar I did not bring my NS with me was Melbourne Australia. Someone else brought theirs and a guitar student used it and Bob taught him what to do on it with the rest of us on normal Sticks. Last time at Interlochen the youngest student had a blast trying mine out, he even got up and performed with it. I never used it for any classroom activities, but bring it along if you have room to do it. The best time I had with it at Interlochen was at an exhibit Glenn put on at a guitar seminar there. Was really cool showing the instrument to the students who showed up. You never know what to expect, I know I'd regret it if I didn't bring mine along, even if I don't use it in class.

Don't worry about missing Bob or Greg, they switch between beginner/advanced well enough you should not miss out with equal time.

Wow, this is a little freakish :!:
I still have the original shipping carton from when I purchased my stick in 2014. I was going to call the airline to make sure I can check the carton containing the stick.

Today_ I noticed that I never removed the plastic pouch which contains the packing slip.

Imagine my surprise when I saw this!
The only thing this slip and my purchase have in common is my first name.

Custom Air Filter. That may be the most interesting description of the Chapman Stick yet.
