Wishing all the folks in the Houston area safe times. I continue to get updates from 3 of my Houston students. They are safe. For me, a different but familiar scenario as we lost our home in Hurricane Sandy in 2012. I always remember the generosity of the Stick community during my recovery. Yeah, the impact has been fast and hard for those on the ground in Houston. I know a few Texan Stickists, who do we know is in the Houston area - and - how can we help? |

I moved from Houston to Doha, Qatar in July, found out today that my (old) house was quite badly flooded. I'm obviously relieved from a selfish perspective but deeply sad for friends and colleagues who are going through it. The school I worked at is ok. Several instrumental teachers who work at the school have pretty much lost their homes, one has had their Bosendorfer Grand utterly destroyed. Sad times. |
