DBro INTERVIEWED FOR A MUSIC BLOG AND BOOK
I have been interviewed by a major author Debbie Burke for a Jazz blog that will eventually go into a book. LOTTA stuff about the Stick here. It may be long for you short attention span theatre people, grab a beer and get through it. Not all of life is a buzz clip or a text. I put a lot of thought into these soul searching questions. This was a true honor and I got to tell some stories I haven't told in years, and also give some kudos to my great fellow musicians. https://goo.gl/PyjSQrI hope you enjoy it and get something from it, Dave B "DBro"

I read EVERYTHING. (the cello is tuned in 5ths) Very cool interview, great questions, liberal sprinkling of anecdotes, and thorough Stickiness. People, READ IT.

Re: DBro INTERVIEWED FOR A MUSIC BLOG AND BOOK
Excellent article Dave, and I see your dedication to jazz and its history and players, to instrumental music (vocal too) and to The Stick. You have a lot to say and I hope there'll be many more encounters with the media in your future.
You make some great points about the instrument we play, points that I also like to emphasize in an interview situation, that it's like a very portable piano, that it's keyless, and where it comes from. Also, that's a haunting story about Daniel Kane. He's some kind of an angelic presence.
Many thanks for first class publicity, Emmett.

Excellent article, DBro; I enjoyed it immensely. A New Zealand rapper has sampled your stuff? (Insert obligatory Flight of the Conchords video where they talk about how they invented rap music back in New Zealand). https://youtu.be/BoWfambAi6ACongratulations on the excellent article and on your contributions to the community!

Nice, DBro. As you said, a long write-up. But if one imagines you telling it in your own words it would go by much faster. Congratulations on some recognition! Talent you have to match many a Stickist, but no one comes close to your expression of enthusiasm over the instrument!

Dayum, DBro, that was a really great read!
Long you say???... nah, not long enough I say! I had no idea your connections to the music world, your history and past experiences. Those were very interesting in and of themselves, but your knowledge about the Stick's history and explanation of how it all works together was terrific.
Kudos to you Dave, and I hope that article brings you more work!
