Post Joining the ranks of Stickists
Howdy folks, hope everyone is well. I just want to share that I am joining the ranks of Stickists! I just spoke with Cambria at Stick Enterprises this week and ordered my first Stick....a 12 String Grand Railboard, with gold plasma coating, gold and black tuners, and aqua glitter linear inlays. Raised Matched Reciprocal tuning. It will be a few months before I can receive it, as I opted for the linear inlays and that feature will not be available for a bit....linear inlays will be available in an upcoming Railboard production run. Thanks to all that have guided and advised me on acquiring my first Stick, and to Emmett, Yuta, Grace, Cambria and all the wonderful folks and family at Stick Enterprises.
So....in the meantime, I am practicing deep breathing, patience, and thinking happy thoughts!
And...I am devouring every bit of information available on this wonderful "Stickist" forum. What an incredible resource. Thanks to all of ya'll for sharing your insight, opinions, information and experience. You are all great teachers. I'll try to post a picture when the Grand Railboard arrives. Have an amazing musical week!

A very good choice. Add MIDI pick up on melody side. That addition will enable you to experiment with a wide range of sound patches

Yep, I sincerely believe owning a Railboard will improve the quality of my life. ;-)

Markussz: I do hope one day to get into either MIDI or acquire a Boss "SY-300 Synth".

Jzzb80vn: Yes! Wasn't Interlochen great? Visiting the Interlochen workshop and evening concert with Bob Culbertson and Greg Howard, and meeting all the attending Stickists, only cemented my desire to get a Stick. Steve Osburn graciously let me try out both his 10 and 12 string Sticks. What an amazing instrument with maximum musical potential, eh?

The Afro Circus (Josh): Thank you! I like this Stickist website and the folks that gather here. Very open and supportive community. Lots of invaluable information for first time Stickists. So much information offered by so many fellow musicians. I am paying attention! ;-)

Gene: Thank you, I have been patient and unbearably excited. I have wanted a Stick for about 40 years, ever since I saw Emmett's first advertisements in Guitar Player magazine

Finally, the future has arrived!

Congratulations! The gold plasma coating with the gold tuners? That's just the one I'd get, if I make the plunge for another. That's gonna be so sweet.

Nice to meet you and rock it out with you at Interlochen! Hope to see you and the new Goldie when it comes, and share with us! And now the StickWait begins....

And welcome to the Forum! Rock it out!

Right? We've been waiting like 5 years and this guy rolls up...

I KID! I'm probably going with the 10 string Rail myself, but that is a ways off given I just treated myself to a 10-string Graphite.

Enjoy. And don't forget to sleep and eat...

Billy, are you still in the Ann Arbor, SE Michigan area? If so PM me your e-mail if you want on the list for Oz's. We haven't had any Stick gatherings at Oz's for months, but something big is brewing for March.
