Post Opening for King Crimson tour with Paul Richards and Bert L.
Hi all,

Starting next week, I'll be playing with guitarists Bert Lams and Paul Richards as a trio opening for the first leg of King Crimson's "Music Is Our Friend" US tour.

The dates we are performing at are:

July 22, Clearwater, FL - Ruth Eckerd Hall
July 23, Delray Beach, FL - Old School Square
July 24, St Augustine, FL - St Augustine Ampitheater
July 26, Orlando, FL - Dr Phillips Walt Disney Theater
July 27, Atlanta, GA - The Fox
July 28, Nashville, TN - Ryman Auditorium
July 30, Fort Worth, TX - Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium
July 31, Cedar Park, TX - H-E-B Center
August 2, Greenwood Village, CO - Fiddlers Green Ampitheater
August 3, Sandy, UT - Sandy Ampitheater
August 5, Concord, CA - Concord Pavilion
August 6, Los Angeles, CA - The Greek Theater
August 7, Scottsdale, AZ - Talking Stick Ballroom (how appropriate!)

The Zappa Band will also be performing at the two California shows.

I have more details about the venues linked on my site at http://www.tomgriesgraber.com and as I think I mentioned earlier, Paul, Bert and myself will be on YouTube tonight in the chat for the premier of a new virtual concert Bert and I put together, starting at 5pm pacific: https://youtu.be/KPjWT0jNcSQ

Hope to see you "out there!"

Talking Stick Resort is a pretty decent hotel/casino. I've stayed there, and left a few donations in the slots. If you are not local to Arizona, it would be a good weekend getaway to book a few nights at the Talking Stick Resort in conjunction with your concert.

That's really cool! What a line-up, esp. the Zappa engagements. What an audience to be playing Stick to!

What a virtual concert! Yuta and I loved all of it. Had to donate and here's the note I sent with it:
--------------
The best I've heard, an orchestra of 18 independent strings, and percussion understood. So many acoustical finger effects from Tom, and then that Frippian melodic ride. The two heads of Bert and Tom, no doubt bald to enable the mind meld.

Dear Emmett,

I think your sense of humour is gold, like a sub genre of stick!

Super big congrats to you Tom. That's gotta be a lifetime achievement, opening for that band.

Watching the virtual concert now!

Thanks! Yeah NY would be awesome, I always love just visiting there. The tour itself was planned long ago and who knows what factors went into such things?
