Hi everyone,

Since Grace is now running things at SE, we thought those of you who haven't had a chance to get to know her might want to learn a little more.

http://stick.com/about/workshop/grace.shtml

As of November 15th, SE is back in normal operations, shipping out new instruments, repairs and accessory packages, and accepting orders for new instruments.

A memorial page for Emmett will go up shortly.

Happy Tapping,
Greg

Few weeks ago I was asking this question about the succession and you gave me a good answer Greg. Now, I can see it's even better to know and see who will be in charge of everything. Congratulations Grace Chapman.

I love how when you zoom in on that photo, you see that she's working on a Stick for Gene Perry.

Are you getting a new Padauk, Gene??!? - :)

Grace is super super cool and very easy to converse with.

I know a few years back I was lamenting that I waited far too long for an Ironwood that S.E. had up for sale, and Grace kind of consoled me by telling me that what I really want is a Stickbass set up like two bass guitars.

Sometime passed, as I strangely enough could not get into that idea at the time, but eventually S.E. had a gorgeous one for sale, and BOOM all of a sudden what Grace turned me on to eventually became my main instrument, besides my Railboard 8

On a more human note, a while back we were emailing each other about something, I don't remember what but I do recall mentioning to Grace how my Country Squire Wagon suddenly had other ideas on what my money was going to be spent on, and she laughed and told me about how that was her first car !!

Seriously though, I am most pleased about this and am now very seriously entertaining the thought of ordering a brand new Grand Railboard tuned 5 bass 7 melody Crafty all the way [C G D A bass, and whatever the melody side would work out to, probably what by RB 8 is minus the heaviest string...] since those are still 34 in scale, and since Greg cleared some things up in my head about how they work.

This is very happy news.

While I am sad that Emmett has passed, I take comfort in knowing that he lives forever through his music and his craft.

I am so happy that Grace will be running the show now.

Wow... Today is going to be a Great Day :)

It’s so great to see Grace’s smiling face right after Emmett on the SE website.

The endorsements from other players warmed my heart.

I saw that my comment about Grace was posted on stick.com and I was glad to see it was. I have had the honor of her working on every instrument I have ever owned and she's saved a few in the process. She is relentless, like her father. She asks all the right question and wants every instrument she comes in contact with to achieve it's maximum potential, a natural who understands the instrument from every angle.

Nice catch Brian! Yes, my 10-string Paduak is in that very picture - can't wait. It's got a Stick up and it's the first NEW instrument I have ever had made just for me in the years that I have been playing. Took a year and worth every second.

Amazing coincidence. I too have my first ever NEW made-for-me Stick coming any day. Probably in the same production run. So looking forward to it.
