Post New Jeff Pearce Stick Album - The Road Ahead
Jeff Pearce has just released a new 'album'[1] and it's Stick only. :D

The first two tracks are more "song like" than some of the ambinent gutar tracks he usually does nowadays (as were his earlier Stick albums). The third track is more in the style of his ambient guitar stuff.

Available on bandcamp, and until 26th December it's set as "Name your price", which can include "free", but I'll be using a non-zero value. :D.

[1] 3 tracks, totalling abouy 18m, so maybe EP would give a better indication?

From my perspective, Jeff Pearce and Larry Tuttle are the only two Stick players I've heard get airplay on the radio, specifically SPA on Sirius XM. They play a lot of Jeff's music, and every once in a while something off his previous Stick album. Curious if any of these will make the radio too.

I guess that makes sense. Jeff's style seems spot on message for a channel aiming at meditation & relaxation?

Spa is an ethereal audio experience. It's new age with a twist of ambient and light world music.

I've not listened to the channel, but from that description some Michael Kollwitz albums might fit too? Maybe they've just not happened across him?

Never seen Mike there, he would fit in. They do play a lot of solo acoustic guitar, like Michael Hedges, Laurence Juber, Billy McLaughlin, Pat Methany, Andrew York, Alex Degrassi, plus bassist Michael Manring. Somewhat carried on from what one would find on Windham Hill back in the day. It's not all ambient synth.

I have to credit Pearce with having the most "prog rock" song played on there, they once played one of his electric guitar songs that just barely fits the format of what they normally play.

There's a lot of Stick players that i believe would do well on that station.
