I've been playing Stick thru some new electronic time based toys.
This one's called "The Effect". Hope you like it!

 What is going on on the bass side?! That's AMAZING! Are you utilizing any "open" bass strings? I can't quite decipher the code.

The video stopped at 1:19, so I couldn't see the rest :D

Seriously, Kevin, this is very inspiring.

Thank you very much!

What's happening in the bass side is a technique I created that I call "Slap Tap". I use my right hand thumb to slap and pop the bass strings while the remaining right hand fingers play chords on the melody strings.
I don't use open strings which gives me the flexibility to "slap tap" thru any chord progression. The technique is a little difficult at first but like anything, the more you practice the easier it gets.

Being a bass player I wanted my bass lines to be punchy and powerful and this is one way that I've been able to achieve that on Stick.

Thank you for asking and thank you for watching my videos.

Thanks for the reply, Kevin!

A while back I worked on a version of your technique, using the RH thumb to produce a "pop" on the bass side, with various degrees of success. What you're doing here sounds much more involved.

Looking at (and listening! to) the video, it seemed like the LH is doing octaves. After the LH first finger tapped the upper-note then you came in with the RH thumb for "pop" on the same note. Is this accurate? Or, is there a "slap" in there somewhere?
