Hey all, We've re-posted some live perfomances from a show at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN. They now have improved audio from the house board rather than the camera mic. Let me know what ya think. Jim #1355 Maple Grand http://www.youtube.com/stormkings |

Excellent job Jim. Nice material, good playing and the recording and sound is very good for a live recording/video. You guys obviously put a lot of effort into it. Keep it up! |

What a coincidence! Only two days ago did I discover Storm Kings (I think it was via Rob martino's myspace) I really liked your material. It great to hear a really strong band with a stick player, most of the time I see it, its just a solo instrument (which is also cool) But when I think of the stick with a band I instantly think of either Liquid Tension Experiment, or the first time I heard Greg's Still Water piece with the band. |

Thanks everyone for your encouraging remarks. It was my hope for this band that I'd simply be another member who happened to play Stick. Not a feature. I think that this concept is working musically, but whenever we gig, I still get people shouting out between songs: "what is that thing?" I don't like to call attention to myself, but always end up taking a couple of minutes to go over the condensed history of the Chapman Stick to the audience. Maybe if we can make this thing a little more mainstream, we can spend more time playing and less time educating during a show. But for now, we're still an oddity. Jim |

It's its odity that makes the Stick so appealing and intriguing. I hope it doesn't get too mainstream, too quickly, the oh-so unique sounds it produces, its versatility, and its players....just slighly appart from mainstream....too cool. You guys have a great sound, and the quality of this live taping is pretty darn good - keep it up! |

Part of the excitement of live performance is the interaction w/ the audience. You've discovered your icebreaker! Marty, Studio Shoe (wishing to get out of and back on stage again!) |

Cool tunes and nice mix! You guys really sound good. I like the sound of your stick and the way it supports the arrangements. You guys are definitely cool. Kevin Keith |
