Post 2010 Interlochen Guitar Festival and Workshop
Hi all,

There is no official Stick workshop at this summer's Interlochen Guitar Festival and Workshop. But I will be there on Friday this year with an area setup to demonstrate the Stick to the attending guitar players and letting them put their hands on some of the different models.

If the weather is agreeable, I will also be performing in the afternoon out in the gazebo in the mall.

The workshop is Thurs-Sat, August 26-28.

Do you know for sure if there will be a Stick Seminar at Interlochen next year, and the dates of said seminar. I'll be making my 2011 teaching schedule in a few months, and it would be cool if I could go ahead and plan for it.

Just a reminder in case anyone is in the neighborhood. Unlikely I realize but there at least a couple of guys from last year coming back with guitars in hand.

Anyway, the weatherman is promising sunny skies and mild temperatures for Friday so I will be performing outdoors in the Osterlin Mall on main campus from 12:30 to 1:30. Then I will be setting up shop indoors with several instruments giving demos and "hands on" from 4PM until around 7:30PM.

Good times. You can check out the Osterlin Mall web cam at http://www.interlochen.org/osterlin-mall-webcam. I'll be in the gazebo.

Hi Glenn,

I'll try to tune in. I'll miss being there this year, and hope to come back soon.

Just a quick update.

The guitar festival was fantastic this year. There were 60+ guitarists attending this year's event and the weather couldn't have been more agreeable (sunny skies and temps in the high 70s). I played outdoors through lunch on Friday and then setup shop with a 12-string, a 10-string, an Alto and an NS (thanks to Steve Balogh). There were probably around a dozen guitar players that trickled in and tried out instruments. A lot of young guys to which is always nice to see.

Wrapped up Friday by watching Phil Keaggy perform which was a real treat. What a fantastic performer!!

Glenn's perfomance outside.

Lots of regard for Greg Howard and Emmett also, many returning students still remarked about last year's performance. Great time, I learned a lot, and performed in two ensembles.
