Hello Everyone,

I am pleased to announce an upcoming Stick® Workshop with Greg Howard and David Parr, on Saturday, October 16, 2010, Knoxville, Tennessee 9:30AM-5:30PM.

For more details please follow this link http://www.greghoward.com/free_hands/seminars/. If you think you are likely to attend, please go ahead and post a response here.

Knoxville is pretty central to the S.E. USA. It is near the Smokey Mountains and many other attractions. Incidentally, this should be at about the beginning of the autumn foliage color peak for east TN.

Thanks, and looking forward to seeing you there.

Thanks for setting this up, Jeff.

Very much looking forward to hearing David play again, too, and to seeing some spectacular scenery.

Jeff,
How do you do, I'm Will Robbins and I am in Cookeville, TN. We corresponded some months ago on my space about the Knoxville club scene in the 80's. A guy in my band played with "Ambrose Wells" and remember your band. Anyhow, I am most certainly interested in coming to this event. I got my Teak wood 10 string late last September and I have hoped for an event like this to come to Tennessee.

Thank you and best regards,

Will Robbins

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the info. I actually had seen it posted on the Stick website, and was/am very interested. I noticed that there were only so many 'spaces' available. Do you know if a non-paying 'audience' is allowed?
My interest in the Stick is no less now than before, and neither is my interest coming to visit. I don't know if I mentioned, but I am in respiratory therapy school and will graduate next May. So between now and then I am surviving on bread and water, but after then, I hope and expect to be able to place my order for a new Stick.
I appreciate very much that you thought to let me know of this upcoming event. Since we talked, I keep trying to find a good time to come to Knoxville. I keep my son over the weekends, so that sort of puts a damper on those times. I actually have tomorrow and Thursday off, but I understand that weekends are better for you. But I could probably drop by for two or three hours anytime over the next couple of days, if it were convenient
Otherwise, thanks, and if I get a weekend free, I'll be sure to contact you.

Thanks again,
Scott

Scott,

You are welcome to come see me, I'm off this week. However you may want to check your own thread http://stickist.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2683. Seems there is a Stickist in Asheville now.

I don't know about non-paying observers in the workshop (Greg & David may accept payments of bread & water ;) ), but you could certainly come to the Stick concert (from 7-9 PM) afterwords. Incidentally, there will be a few extra Sticks at the workshop. If you can squeeze out a few bucks for the workshop, one (Stick) can probably be reserved for you to play. This is likely the best way for you to get a thorough introduction to the Stick without just taking the plunge & buying one.

Hope you can make it.

PS you are welcome to bring your kid along, if you want to visit.
