If you dig the most incredible funky bass grooves, sophisticated voicings, over the top musicianship, then you owe yourself a treat and see Level 42 on their few remaining US dates before heading back to England for the next 25 years!
I just saw the show here, and was fortunate to hang with the band, especially founding members Mark King, bassist extraordinaire who sings lead at the same time! and Mike Lindup, keyboards, currently touring with Dominic Miller. Their current drummer Toyman is the drummer with Incognito out of England. Their 80's hit, "Something About You", dosen't even approximate their live show or the musicianship and heavy goove laden jams with a band I never saw so tight.
here is the incredible Mark King - starts to kick at 1:20
