Hope the holidays are treating you well.
Just thought I'd make mention of a project I was involved with recently. Here in Salida, CO in the Heart of the Rocky Mountains we have a wealth of talented artists, musicians and writers. Oddly enough we still haven't had any snow!!!
When award winning author Susan J. Tweit (http://susanjtweit.com/) approached me about working with her, I jumped at the chance! The result is an MP3 CD of 28 of her favorite commentaries from her popular weekly radio series. I had her re-record her narration from the original scripts and added some original Chapman Stick music playing in the background! Basically I took a 20 minute improvisation I played and used segments as background music, each commentary is around 4 to 5 minutes long. So not a whole lot of variety music wise, but the commentaries are quite interesting.
I know this kind of thing is not for everyone, but if you have an interest in natural science these are plenty engaging. Check it out at CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/SusanJTweit

this is fabulous. your playing, the stereo imaging, and effects are spot on. it really is perfect for this genre and adds the right touch behind this. ambient "new acoustic" landscapes wash over you while Susan provides the lush and descriptive commentary this is pro all the way.
