Thanks Emmett for this new instrument! Stick is always one step beyond! Thanks KK for the review making all of us at least very curious! Just a style suggestion to Emmett, "strong" colors are nice and funny but please don't forget mild and elegant colors (as you can see in cars), I think to a dark grey, or a very light silver grey... Full metal body can really be a great opportunity for elegant colors to match the inherent Stick elegance... All the best. Nicola (aka NicolaStick on youtube)

When it comes to style, nobody beats Italians. Mmmh, light grey, yummy!

Yes, Italian style totally rules. A non shiny grey metallic would be immensely cool. Looking like a magic machine part taken out of a space ship engine...

I assume there will be an all black Railboard of Doom for metalurgists, Goths, and people who enjoy polishing fingerprints off grand piano lids.

 Re: RailboardTM preproduction details
Many thanks Kevin, for a landmark review, very rewarding to me after two years of designing, drawing and prototyping. You covered it all, the feel, the sound, design features and the new Villex "Block". I had thought your fingers might gravitate toward this new Railboard model and that I might get an "mmhmm" of appreciation. Instead, you made the complete leap and understood it for what it is.
Now for the finishing touches - reversed pickup almost done, rear pickup cover coming along too. The pressure is on. I must get Kevin his burnished gold "Hot Rod" (as he spontaneously called it here in my studio, also here on this thread). There are also several others who have placed orders in various hard anodized colors.
Thanks also to Nicola for suggesting subdued metallic colors in the anodizing process. Gunmetal gray will be one of them, also forest green. Nicola, your name sounds like "nickel", which would produce a hard, thick plating, mirror polished or with a flat matte glow.
And Walter, I will definitely research titanium nitride as a very hard golden plating process. And yes, I have some drill bits hardened to that gold finish.
To Olivier and Per, I've got some Italian in my ancestry too (a design claim here). My mother Venetia's father Joe Di Cosola was born in Bari and immigrated to Chicago at age 18. I like to credit my Mom with my sense of design and passion for music.
Many thanks for a great response, and to Greg for sincere congratulations, and especially to Kevin for taking it for a ride. We were all gathered listening and grooving as he made the turns right here in my studio.
Best, Emmett.

 Re: RailboardTM preproduction details
Any idea when the grand version might come out?
I'm starting to feel like the baby who lost his candy.
I'm sure it will take a LOT of development to get another model up.
So I'll be patient and enjoy what I have
