After a couple of rejections I've finally got hold of an art grant to secure flight tickets for my US west coast tour in october. Budget is hardly touching shoe-string level and suggestions on crashing spots, cheapest travelling strategies etc are welcome. So far I have the SG-12, a round-trip international flight ticket and these booked shows:

Oct 6-10 Seattle, Oct 11 Portland, Oct 12 Ashland, Oct 15 San Jose, Oct 16-19 Santa Cruz, Oct 22-23 LA Long Beach, Oct 24 LA Guitar Merchant Canoga Park (Stick Night "Per Fest").

Per, I will begin working on a Free Hands Academy event. I expect we can line something up at the Guitar Merchant with Emmett. If you are in the Inland Empire, I might be able to line something up wit Leo Gosselin and Mike Kollowitz - some old school free hands cats. How long are you in Southern California?

That depends on what's up - and in case something's up it depends on how low cost stay I can find. "Until the end of the month" might be a guess as good as any. I plan to go LA-->Stockholm since a Norwegian flight company does that route in one swoop at a favourable ticket price.

Thanks for the update Per. For those of you in the Southland, The Guitar Merchant is located in Canoga Park at 7503 Topanga Canyon Blvd. All your favorite LA area players have confirmed they will be there; Gary, Kevin, Emmett, Don, Emmett, myself and an appearance by THE Michael Kollowitz!

It's $10 admission with no pre-dale, doors will be at 6:30 and music starts at 7pm. I believe we were pretty close to capacity for the show with Dale and Emmett last month. Hope you can make it down if you are in the area.
