The entire set was incredible. GC played running with the devil and nailed the bassline, the solo even the car horn slowed down part at the intro - I was reminded of what an original and powerful player he is. Few compare.

He played that set at The Pint House in Anaheim last January, a powerful performance from out of the Texas blue. You'd have had to be there live though, to experience the totality, a "triple threat" of memorable song selection from the '60s forward, of blues lead guitar chops on Stick melody that drill their way into your ear, and of a forceful vocal presence. He stole the show and then closed it down.

He didn't even have his own amps with him. I wonder what that would sound like live?

He's aggressive but only on stage. He mistreated his drummer Vinnie horribly, challenging and insulting him regularly between songs. It became an act. Vinnie was up for it, pounding on his drums to the point of exhaustion.

I'll always remember that set with Giancarlo Caffarena and Vinnie Vinciguerra. It went beyond the bounds of music but The Stick was present and very instrumental.
