There is a feature you can activate on a User so his/her posts are hidden (if you are logged in). This is the Foe List (aka 'ignore list'). Click on the "Profile" box under a user's post, which brings you to the User's profile page. You'll see the "Add Friend" and "Add Foe" buttons.
