It appears that stickist is, indeed, being targeted by a spambot. This is very hard to stop and I know that Manny is putting way too much of his free time on this. A spambot uses tens of thousands of different IP addresses to send out email and Manny has to ban each and every one to stop this. There are other ways to stop such as adding a captcha where we would have to enter a word that shows in an image. Another way it to have a bunch of moderators that have to approve each and every post before it appears.

Neither of these are very appealing and I'm sure Manny is looking into everything. We'll just have to ride out the storm.

Crossing my fingers....I just installed a mod to thwart spambots registering onto the site. So far so good....

Basically modded the captcha so a background photo is displayed to thwart the spambot's OCR.

4 hours later and 0 spambot registrations...so far so good...
