Post MP3's Can Now Be Embedded
MP3's can now be embedded in posts using the "gmp3" button and inserting the URL of the MP3 file, which implements Google's MP3 player.

Here's a demo with a classic: "Walk on the Wild Side" -Lou Reed

Cool! Let me be the first one to test drive this feature. Here's my version of "Treasures" by Stanley Jordan.

Hi Manny or anyone else,

What happened to this Google mp3 player? I have used it in many places and I notice it's not working here or on my websites (or the SE page). Is this a unique problem with my browsers, or something with the player?

Thanks for any insight....

Google changed something; not working on this site either. I've been looking for an update from them, or an alternative. Haven't found one yet, though will post here when I finally find something.

I would like to make a small request, would it be possible to use one of the new HTML 5 mp3 players? I read stickist on my iPad more than a computer now, and it would be great to be able to hear the posted tunes. Since this is the official direction of all browsers, it might make sense, if it wasn't considered to much of a hassle,

Thanks,

-Eric

Hi Eric,

I need to change the one on my own site as well. Do you have any recommendations for one that would be easy to integrate and meet the format specifications you are wanting?

It would be great if it played all kinds of audio files (not just mp3s)

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, these don't seem to work on my linux machine running chrome, either. I guess that's what I get for stickisting from work... :)

Google's MP3 embedded player is now working on this site!

Thanks Greg for the PM about Glenn's find, which I'll post here for others.

"Glenn found the fix for this. You need to substitute the number 3523697345 wherever the number 3247397568 was used originally in the code for the player."

I simply revised the reference number above in the BBcode for these forums.
