Post Re: RSS Filters
I still think there is something wrong with the code for the Equipment forum. On closer inspection, if I put this

feed.php?f=4

in Firefox, it show the same as if I had put this in

feed.php

In other words, it shows everything and not just the equipment forum.

So it looks like Firefox can't find the forum feed and just picks up all feeds and Google Reader can't find the feed and errors out.

I did somewhat of a feed reset to see if this helped. Also looking into the code to see if I can do something there.

Just checked out
Code:
http://www.stickist.com/feed.php
through FeedDemon and it's working; can see the Equipment topics.

Manny,
I guess I wasn't clear, yes I can see Equipment in the over all feed, but I can't get this one that is supposed to be just equipment work:

feed.php?f=4

For example, that one when put in Firefox or Internet Explorer shows more that just the Equipment forum. Check it out.

I don't know if Google Reader is just delicate or lame :), but putting
feed.php?f=4 into this next page does give a warning that might be causing a problem:

Sorry for being a pain. Just trying to help out ...

Not a pain at all, appreciate your help.
Yah, it seems to be an issue of finickiness when it comes to various RSS readers.

I put in
Code:
http://www.stickist.com/feed.php?f=4
into FeedDemon and it works fine.

You might want to check FeedDemon out if you're on a Windows machine:

Manny, is there a URL parameter which will limit the feed to only new topics? It can be hard to follow full threads via Google Reader since they all get mixed together into a single RSS stream. Currently I do this using Yahoo Pipes.

I use Feedreader and have this entered:

I don't know if there's a way to filter out or allow in only certain forums, but I do only get the new topics. Once I mark a feed as read, I don't see it again unless there is a new post. And if there are several new entries to a thread, I see each entry individually. I can open in a new browser window and see the whole thread if I want.
