 Stop "Announcements" from appearing in every RSS feed?

Post Stop "Announcements" from appearing in every RSS feed?
Is it possible to stop the posts in "Announcements" from appearing in the RSS feed of every single forum? Even a reply to an announcement post shows up in every forum in the RSS feeds. Following the forums via RSS is very efficient, but not with this type of behavior.

Hiya rwk,

The announcement posts that show up in every subforum are the Stick Seminars, which are toggled as a 'global announcement.' I change the global status back to regular after the event has occurred.

So I just altered the 'global announcements' to just show in the Announcements subforum and portal page's Recent Announcements column. Let me know if this clears up the RSS feed.

Wouldn't it be very nice to have a specific feed for the "View new posts" page?

Not sure that is possible though since that page is instantly assembled by a server based search script:
search.php?search_id=newposts

Or - wait a minute... that "newposts" id maybe can be used for a specific RSS feed?
