New Year Resolutions
One of my favorite posts a few year's back was a New Year's resolution post. I think this type of positive, pro-active visualization can be a powerful motivator.
What is your Chapman Stick New Years resolution?

To practice every day, no matter what, and to compose at least 6 pieces.

Re: New Year Resolutions
My goals are as follows:
1. Add at 3 more Bach pieces to my repertoire: a. Minuet in G Minor b. Minuet 2 in G Major c. Air
2. Begin study on my second invention. I have already invested a good deal of time into Invention 2 in C minor, but I don't like it nearly as much as the 8th in F Major - which is going to be very hard. Either way (one), I will have both parts memorized, but not necessarily ready for performance.
3. Routinely play out (currently scored a Thursday evening gig here, but still hoping to gig monthly at some of our local wineries).
4. At least one new song a month

Re: New Year Resolutions
So many things to do... 1. Finishing my website/music blog 2. Learning to record some videos 3. Learning the tunes I've procrastined for years 4. Trying to sing while playing 5. Organizing a proper Stick meeting for french Stick players 6. And so on... When I began to play the Stick, I gave myself an ultimatum : getting my first paid solo gig at 30. I did it. Now I'm turning 40 this year, I hope to be able to play an entire gig with only originals. Should be possible if I'm working harder than the previous weeks/months...

Re: New Year Resolutions
My number 1 stick resolution is to manage my playing better to avoid tendonitis, so that I don´t have to take any long periods of rest. I also resolve to record at least five original songs with a sound quality that I will be happy with.
