Good post Rex.

Anyone remember Stephenville, 2008?

I implore you to watch Ricky Sorrells take on what he saw that day in the woods outside his home. Talk about heebie jeebies.....

Interesting interview, but not much new there in Ricky's reporting. I'd sure love to know exactly what is going on with these phenomena but I'm actually more concerned about safety and hoping the guys behind it all will not come out. I mean, for someone in charge of such advanced technology we (humans on this planet) must appear as insignificant as the tiny insects we all crush by every step over the lawn on a nice Sunday afternoon.

Stephensville is another good example of a mass sighting of something which is highly unlikely to be a secret US aircraft, and cannot be explained as misunderstood natural phenomena.

The Battle of LA is really compelling, as is the witness testimony from Jesse Marcel and his son in the famous Roswell case. I also find astronaut Gordon Cooper's accounts extremely credible and compelling. My own father has his own tale; he saw an anomolous object after leading his squadron's raid on Haiphong Harbor in Vietnam.

On a side note, Scarlett Johansson is really hot.

Although not an abduction case, The rendlesham forest incident is our modern day roswell. Compelling story, multiple credible witnesses.....

Fakers and idiots!

One of the biggest problems to serious research on ufos is people like Scott Waring!

The other is people showing off their cgi skills!

Like KR, I don't want to believe - I want to know.

Google stealth blimp.

The B2 Bomber has been confirmed to use electrically charged leading edge and exhaust systems, which some people call electro-gravitics - very interesting.

Dogg,

I filmed a spy blimp over my house in Virginia Beach seven years ago. I was using a crappy flip phone at the time and struggled to get the damned thing to work. My hands were covered in cold, wet dirt. I finally got the shot. When I shared it with Maureen that night, she was unimpressed... she thought it looked very much like a "regular" blimp. She couldn't see the knobby little wings it had, nor could she hear the strange sound it made. She did think it was unnerving that it was escorted by two helicopters. It was obviously headed to Fentress Airfield in the Blackwater area from Oceana Naval Air Station.

Agreed about Waring. I don't spend much time investigating anomolous rocks on Mars. The people who do seem to have a rather caricatured perspective. That being said, I believe nothing I am told by NASA. Gary McKinnon is compelling.

You need to have a chat with Kary Mullis.
He almost lost his Nobel Prize for PCR (DNA stuff)
I have his book called Dancing Naked in the Mind Field.

Other than my job and playing Stick, this is my other pastime....studying little grey men.

There are some real mind benders out there if you choose to look into it. Ya it takes some time but I believe its better than watching Family Guy or Jersey Shore reruns.

If you share my fascination with this topic, have a look on the interwebs for these particularly shocking, freaky abduction cases.

Pascagoula Case
Allagash Case
Travis Walton Case

Theres many more, but these ones involve multi witnesses.

I want to believe....

cheers,
Mulder

Might have been one of these you saw?

Despite the fact that he said he was smoking weed most of the time back then, I would love to know where he got into and what he saw. Very interesting. I think NASA etc had a massive review of their security after that, he was really doing them a favour.

Post Re: Alien Abduction Cases
ok - here goes (K-C - I am late, but I am a man of my word):

ok. so the likelihood that the Earth has been visited by intelligent aliens is pretty much nil.
the universe is so big, and we are so small in it - that the odds of an alien race finding us, let alone going through the trouble to traverse the vast distances to actually get here, are ridiculous.

here's a great animation showing just the absolute insignificant size of our PLANET in comparison to other heavenly bodies (let alone the distances between them - which is by many, many, many, many orders of magnitudes greater):

And - if they did come here, why would they hide from everyone and just suck up a few hicks and cows and then sexually experiment on them? Not that we have any ability to actually infer what their motives may be, as we have no real concept of what they would be like...

Why do we assume they have come here in ships? How come all the sightings have them in ships? the likelihood that they would come here in ships is such a human abstract...which goes to show that the "sightings" are more likely than not human constructs

I have been a lifelong reader of science fiction - so i am one who genuinely would like to know (like KRex). To me it seems very likely that somewhere in the universe there is other intelligent life - the universe is just so big - it seems very plausible that intelligent life evolved somewhere else. The idea that it hasn't and we are unique, given the vast...truly vast...amount of planets, stars and galaxies just doesn't seem reasonable...to ME. However, using the same logic, it is extremely unlikely that they have been clandestinely visiting our planet.

Two really good examples of what possible encounters with alien "life" are:

Sphere, by Michael Crichton

Contact, by Carl Sagan

Sphere deals with the fact that if we were to encounter alien life, the idea that it would in any way, shape or form be something that we could even recognize as an intelligent "life" is pretty much zero. And this book really drives home my point of putting "life" in "quotes"...what we comprehend intelligence, heck - LIFE, to be...are 100% based upon what WE KNOW about life here on Earth. The likelihood that "life" that developed somewhere else in the galaxy could be something that we could recognize, let alone comprehend, is remote.

And Sagan's book, which makes the assumption that we could comprehend the alien intelligence, because it chose to display itself in a human-type fashion, basically says that due to the vast distances of the universe, the idea that they would travel in "ships' is absurd. It would most likely start with some form of long distance "communication", and any "travel" would have to involve some completely unknown and unknowable form of "teleportation" or wormhole-like travel.

So as someone who truly "wants to believe" - I will never let my critical judgement be replaced by someone's claim of "eyewitness accounts", the least reliable form of evidence in almost every situation imaginable. (see the fascinating story of Picking Cotton as this applies in the criminal justice system.

http://www.pickingcottonbook.com/home.htm.

And of course, as for the "video evidence" - they are ridiculous. Every single one has been thoroughly debunked by actual experts and scientists - and even if they haven't been (which isn't true) - and one of them actually represented something we could not explain, the idea that it would be an alien intelligence is literally the least likely of all possible explanations.

As Sagan put it in his amazing book "The Demon Haunted World" - a true tome for the Skeptics (one which I assume KRex, as self professed "skeptic", probably thinks is 100% bullshit..love ya K-Dawg ):

so show me the "ship"...not some bullshit video or transcripts of what someone claims to have seen. Jesus -give me a break. I read The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy... why shouldn't we believe that is true if we take the "eyewitness account" of those idiots in NH from 50 years ago? Both are just as likely to be true to me.

If they are here - is it really that hard to prove to someone? Why? Are we all in on the conspiracy to NOT believe? I know the Washington Monument exists...and I can buy a $400 plane ticket and prove it.

As the Human Torch would say "FLAME ON!"
