Re: Alien Abduction Cases
And here I thought this was about a company that makes cases for musical instruments. Wouldn't that be a perfect name? "Alien Abduction Cases, our cases are out of this world". Just imagine the designs they could have? And the colors! I want one!

-Eric Good one, Eric! Would suit the Stick well. The other day I was abducted for six hours by the ScyFy channel's three-part miniseries "Childhood's End", an adaption of an Arthur C. Clark novel. http://variety.com/2015/tv/reviews/childhoods-end-review-syfy-arthur-c-clarke-miniseries-1201653189/I first got interested since Charlie Clouser (NiN, Page Hamilton, Rob Zombie and a lot more...) worked on the soundtrack and when watching all three parts at once I really liked it a lot as a movie. Re: Alien Abduction Cases
In my opinion, the alen abduction phenomenon should be separated entirely from research on anomolous aerial phenomena. While alien abduction as a serious subject for scientific study has been absolutely tainted and corrupted by media manipulation, hoaxes and propaganda, compelling cases of unexplainable UFOs with credible eyewitness corroboration and radar are almost always ignored by the media.
Like everything else in the western world, substance cleaves to sensation.
The Phoenix Lights deserved to be on the front page of every newspaper in the world. The Battle of Los Angeles, the objects over the restricted airspace of the White House in '54. High-level military brass give testimony of objects which perform maneuvers impossible for any aircraft on earth before disappearing, all backed up on radar. We cannot compress these things quite as well into inane, 60-minute shows like we can with Greys from Zeta Reticuli.
Betty Hill drew a star map. Travis Walton got zapped by a blue beam. Billy Meier and George Adamski spoke telepathically with beautiful Aryan beings who imparted cosmic knowledge. This was all mesmerizing to a young man who "wanted to believe," such as myself. But at least some were obvious hoaxes, some very clever hoaxes, and none of it helps to clarify the real issue, which is quite serious and should be studied in such a capacity.
Paigan illustrates the pitfalls inherent in the way pop culture has twisted the issue of UFOs, conflating the issue with lurid tales of sexual assault by extraterrestrial beings, with the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot. Yes, I saw those shows, too. They have nothing whatsoever to do with the serious issue of UFOs.
If the most compelling reports of UFOs were nothing more than secret military craft, it would likely mean that the major governments of the world all successfully engineered anti-gravity technology as far back as the late 1930's. In the case of the Phoenix lights, it would also mean the US could employ such technology to power REALLY FUCKING BIG metal things. I don't believe this is the case any more than I believe Bigfoot will ever make an appearance on that silly show on the Animal Planet network.
But there it is -- many thousands saw the Phoenix lights, and what's more, many thousands saw the enormous, black hulk which had lights on it as it slowly sailed without a sound across the Arizona night sky, blacking out the stars as it went. Even the governor saw it and spoke about it at length.
I am one of the few who don't want to believe. I want to know.
K
