Re: Rootz! -- 3 Best
Destroyed! I made it to about minute 4. I kept thinking that my composition teacher who loved 12-tone serial/atonalism but hated distortion as a musical effect, would have been very conflicted. The part about not judging your influences: let me just say that I understand Kevmodeus Rex a little better now! Page 3 Bump: What's/Who's your top 3 immediate best roots or influences?

Best Bach Guitar Face ever! I thought he was going to break out in a third part by whistling at first. His awesome guitar face aside, that was actually exceptionally well done. I liked the cloths stuck at the headstock to make his own damper. Chicks dig that homemade stuff, too.

1. Black Sabbath - First favorite band as a kid 2. Led Zeppelin - was right after Sabbath 3. Gordon Lightfoot - Was always a favorite of my mom's, so I've definitely heard a lot of him.

No lie.
Lots of Bach and Paganini in my house as a child, too...

Re: Rootz! -- 3 Best
That's where Andy and you and I intersect: my Mom watched HeeHaw growing up (and therefore so did I). Plus, we were from Kansas, and...that's really all the explanation you need. Kansas. So lots of Hee Haw. ABBA and the Carpenters are HUUUGE in Japan, I discovered. Them and the Beatle of course. My best karaoke is ABBA. Or Bon Jovi. So I can totally relate. Not understand--but relate.

OOO Yeah, Carpenters were big at my house. Also the Beatles and The Mama's and The Papas... And of course, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Roy Orbison...
Of course, I grew up in "Dawson Creek" British Columbia, Canada...
